سوره الفاتحه به نام خداوند بخشنده بخشايشگر (1) ستايش مخصوص خداوندى است كه پروردگار جهانيان است. (2) (خداوندى كه) بخشنده و بخشايشگر است (و رحمت عام و خاصش همگان را فرا گرفته). (3) (خداوندى كه) مالك روز جزاست. (4) (پروردگارا!) تنها تو را مى‏پرستيم؛ و تنها از تو يارى مى‏جوييم. (5) ما را به راه راست هدايت كن... (6) راه كسانى كه آنان را مشمول نعمت خود ساختى، نه كسانى كه بر آنان غضب كرده‏اى، و نه گمراهان. (7)

And your Lord has commanded that you shall not serve (any) but Him, and goodness to your parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, say not to them (so much as) "Ugh" nor chide them, and speak to them a generous word. ....................................................... Ve rabbin, kendisinden başkasına kulluk etmemenizi ve anaya, babaya iyilik etmenizi hükmetmiştir; onlardan biri, yahut her ikisi, senin hayâtında ihtiyarlık çağına ererse onlara üf bile deme, azarlama onları ve onlara güzel ve iyi söz söyle. .................................................................. اور آپ کے پروردگار نے فیصلہ کر دیا ہے کہ تم اس کے سوا کسی کی بندگی نہ کرو اور والدین کے ساتھ نیکی کرو، اگر ان میں سے ایک یا دونوں تمہارے پاس ہوں اور بڑھاپے کو پہنچ جائیں تو انہیں اف تک نہ کہنا اور انہیں نہ جھڑکنا بلکہ ان سے عزت و تکریم کے ساتھ بات کرنا
